Dear Parents/Guardians,

We would like to welcome everyone to Harmony School of Science- Sugarland. We are an exciting part of the Harmony Schools System which currently has 33 campuses in the state of Texas and rapidly growing!

Our campus opened doors in 2007 with a student enrollment of only 350 students. We have quickly grown over the years and our current enrollment is over 600 students. Two years in a row, our school has been rated as “Exemplary” by the Texas Education Agency!

We are different from other charter and public schools because we pride ourselves to be high achievers when it comes to educating the future minds of the World. Our staff is committed to helping our students succeed in their educational endeavors. Our students are offered ample opportunities to participate and excel in academic and social events. We offer after-school clubs, tutorials, sport activities, field trips, and other extra-curricular activities. We work closely with the city of Sugarland to serve our community. In order to assist our students meet their full potential and achieve their educational goals, we ask for your support and active involvement in our school and your child's education. The following are ways you can get involved:

• Join the PTO!  Our school is in need of strong, dedicated members to play an active role in supporting the needs of our students and teachers. If you would like to be a part of PTO, please contact Mrs. Gardin at lgardin@harmonytx.org.
• Volunteer!  We need volunteers to assist teachers with fieldtrips, school events, classroom parties, science fair, field day, copying, etc. We also need volunteers to help our librarian. Contact Mrs. Gardin or our PTO Board if you would like to contribute some of your time in your child’s learning.
• Read With Your Child!  We would love for each of our parents to read a book with their child each night.  Instilling a lifelong love for reading in your child is a great gift to give! 
• Contact Your Child's Teacher!  Teachers love hearing from their parents.  Let them know they are doing a great job!  If you have concerns, please feel free to contact your child's teacher through email, phone, or by sending notes.  Communication is the key to a successful bond between teachers, parents, and students.
